Clan Line is out today with the British Pullman train from Victoria to Oxford. I think this is the last main line run before her summer Maintenance Period. She is seen here departing from the water stop at Ascot.

Good to see this got a mention before 'retiring' to the end of September.
We'll see you then with our winter coats on...

She was on time passing Cholsey this morning. Rather dull lighting, windy, and the brakes just going on, so not a master-shot. Hoping for a bit more of a performance leaving Oxford in an hour or so.

Someone has posted that 67.002 is hauling the train on the return. I'm sure that this is wrong. Can anyone confirm? <BJ>

Interest in 35028 seemed to be very low this morning - I was on the bridge at Spring Farm near South Stoke and had the place to myself. I know Clan Line and the VSOE is seen almost as run of the mill and the weather wasn't too kind, but there are usually at least 2 or 3 photographers here.

A Saturday steam working and no one else around - doesn't happen too often these days. I'll try and post a link to my shot later

A lot of photographers hibernate in the summer. Wait for the autumn and winter. A sunny and frosty morning will bring them out. <BJ>

Granted - but unusual not to see anyone. Leave it too long on the GWML and locations will disappear. More bridges in the Thames Valley to be rebuilt by the end of the year I heard today.
