Now that the new Honeybourne station is finnished and the Long Marston branch has been moved to the old platform 4 line, would having a static loco on display advertising the G&WRs plans for Honeybourne to the general public similar to the one in Moor St Station in Brummagem be a worthwhile idea? (obviously it will have to be cared for a little better). When the Long Marston branch was moved, was the old track through platform 3 left, or has it been ripped up?

I think that the Cotswold Line redoubling is due to be completed tomorrow, 22 Aug. To my knowledge, the GWSR intends to advertise its presence in some way at Honeybourne but its early days yet and I have heard no firm ideas. I also understand that Network Rail has been extremely helpful to the GWSR regarding old brickwork, water crane pipework etc when platform 2 at Honeybourne was rebuilt. According to the photos I've seen platform 3 has not been rebuilt and there is now a brand new signal in the 4 foot at the end of platform 3. This excellent photo site shows developments.

Meanwhile, work on the new platform at Broadway Station continues apace; so much so that they have temporarily run out of concrete blocks! More financial support needed here folks! Then of course there's the bridge repairs needed north of Laverton to Broadway and Chicken Curve too.
An advert of some kind at Honeybourne would be a very good idea, the best of course being 2807 heading a train to Cheltenham Race Course.

They are also running low on Blue Imperials. I had directed them to have a word with Tetbury council and see if they could acquire the old Goods shed as a source. Its semi derelict and frankly about all its good for now. Unfortunatley in the interim the council seem to have tivitated it up and seem dead set on retaining it. Apologies to them if I wasted their time on that, can only hope the Broadway team find another source. The degree of their commitment is very impressive.

I wonder what plans if any they have for Honeybourne? It would be nice as a long term plan to try to replicate at least one of the original platform buildings. I presume space may make that rather unlikely.

Steve from GWR thanks for the link.
I have been out all day (at the GWSR in fact!) so have only just seen this excellent update. I also had a chance to call in at the Broadway Station site and it really is coming on well. If more funding is provided I reckon there's little the team couldn't do there! Whilst at the GWSR, I attended the Cotswold Steam Preservation (2807) Members' Day event with 2 trips behind 2807 from Winchcombe to Cheltenham and our own train for the afternoon. I wasn't going to mention this as its not totally relevant but I just have to say that my good fortune in being permitted a footplate ride from Gotherington to Cheltenham and return today was absolutely wonderful and the fulfilment of an almost life-long desire. There is no doubt that we did the right thing to save this locomotive back in 1980 - she's a dream! Honeybourne soon perhaps?!

Perhaps a Banner across the Road Bridge on the approaches to Broadway station would be a good, or a full size cardboard cut out of 2807 going over said bridge....

Any large piece of Metal left hanging around might attract the wrong kind of interest

Not a bad idea! The main issue with the Broadway Station road bridge at present is that its very tatty and not a good advert at all. However, the Broadway Group has done much to tidy up the station approach and, once the little problem (!) with Chicken Curve is sorted then work will start on renovating the Broadway bridge (I'm told) The bridge needs repairs similar to the bridge at Gretton, not horrendous but it will mean closing the road below (this is now a minor road, the A44 now bypassing Broadway complete with new bridge over the formation north of Broadway Station!).
