So come on then boys at the NNR, bolt some token apparatus into that recess on the front of the tender and let's see it doing what it should be doing in the place it has always done it :)

Suddenly I'm interested! Is it planned for Ring Haw to be back in action in time? :)

Ring Haw is now withdrawn pending overhaul.
Pity. She will be greatly missed. Such a star locomotive.

Let's hope that the visitors don't get as exciting/stupid about this loco as the young lad on the platform at Llangollen here:

That's interesting, I thought it'd had one fairly recently (circa 2007?), so one assumes it must be something quite major to mean withdrawal so early? Of course, I might be completely wrong with the date!

The work it had done in 2006 was a mid-ticket repair to the firebox, it has now been withdrawn due to various ailments as it very near to the end of its boiler ticket. It now needs more boilerwork, a bottom-end overhaul (last done in about 1997) and a re-tyre. Work is expected to commence on this very soon.

Ah, that figures. Let's hope it's not out for too long then, the word 'stalwart' is certainly apt!

Weather is looking good for Friday and Saturday as well. Light rain Sunday.

Looking at the timetable is it possible to work out which Loco will be on what set at a certain point through the day or is that deliberately being kept flexible ?

I've got an early enough sign-on for flag waving... i'll be hanging out the back of that early goods!

@Pesmo - The locos all have downtime at Sheringham as well as double headers from both ends of the line, so I think it would be luck rather than judgement if you were able to work out which locos are where. There is a gala booklet avaliable from the railway complete with information on the locos running etc on the day

I applied several weeks ago and got no response, filled out the form for a second time and then got the email with the documents. Only arrived the other day though. I'd left mine late in March and was able to pick it up from Sheringham office after ringing them.

Yes, 92203, 43106, 45305, 65462, L99 and 5619 all face towards Holt if that's what you mean by the right way. I can't vouch for 68030 as I've not seen it yet.
