    Gents,

I have been informed that plans are in place for tomorrows ACE with no change in departure time from Waterloo.

It will be steam from Waterloo but SD and WCR have been working tirelessly today along with others to ensure this happens and people aren't disappointed.

Passengers boarding at Salisbury are also requested to be at the station by 12:10 prompt.

If I receive any further updates then I shall duly oblige in posting.

Good luck to all involved and their efforts in making this tour work!

I've been informed the latest plan is for Tangmere & Britannia, double heading out of Waterloo!

So I guess the solution is to leave Salisbury earlier, thereby arriving at Westbury earlier allowing time for the locos to turn on the triangle. Am I correct?

    Tangmere to the rescue again.
Was it last year's Great Briton run that she ended up coming to the rescue.
I remember watching her crossing the Royal Albert Bridge L/E in the dark.

I understand that's there been a significant re-write of both the route and timings and it is no longer going via Westbury. However after Salisbury the only other option I can see is via Yeovil Junction. I don't know the layout at Exeter, but I would have thought that such a route would put the locos the wrong way round at Exeter?

    10.24 departure.
Plat 19 (not 16) at Waterloo, via Salisbury 12.15 dep (30 mins earlier), Westbury, Bristol,
from Taunton back to original schedule / timings.
    70000+34067 throughout.

Correct ADB968008. Contact from SD hierachy has confirmed that the train will continue on through Bristol instead of changing directions at Westbury. Alot of hard graft has gone into today so credit where credit is due!

Will be along day for all support & footplate crew etc and again a stirling effort in what's been a trying and very testing 24 hours or so!

After what we enjoyed earlier this with 34067 Al, I feel you are in very good hands indeed with WCR and Steam Dreams. They leave me with the impression that if there is the slightest chance of retrieving a difficult situation they are the ones to do it.

Fingers, indeed everything crossed for tomorrow and indeed the whole trip.

Please report here when you can Al!

Yes, well done to all involved, including the much maligned Network Rail (who always seem to be so much better at planning things given 24 hours notice than they do when given 13 weeks notice).

Excellent news about the revised route, etc. Well done all. Does anyone know the revised times for key places like Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth? Or will it be truely GWR - Go When Ready? TIA

Edit: some revised times on UKSteam.info: http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t11/t0904c. No doubt these will change during the day.
    Great service, GWR4090!

Well 12:15 off Salisbury means it could be 13:15 @ Bath & 13:40ish Bristol. Just look @ timings of the Cathedrals & Bath spa express for a rough idea.

RailTour Live updates should be useful today, especially if someone is sending from onboard.

Stock is heading into Waterloo, just passed imperial wharf ,
    47580 on the front,
70000 coupled inside 34067 at the rear,
    So 34067 leading.

We are heading out for this. Was looking forward to seeing 30777 but 34067 and 70000 should be quite something! What a turn of events from Friday.
