Any sign that 46115 is about to emerge from Carnforth? I know it's a difficult place to obtain news.

With regard to the Crianlarich-Oban leg, do the locomotives operate tender first to Oban or smokebox?

I have no inside info, but odds are it'll be chimney first for the climb out of Oban. That seems to be the norm. Also, they'd have to turn the locos at Fort Bill from their normal Jacobite orientation in order for them to run chimney first out to Oban, which would make it even more hassle.

    I hope three things:
    1. It's true
    2. It passes
    3. It makes it through the tour!

As steam is now from Carnforth on day 1, are there any changes to the times on UK Steam?
    Thanks

I'm not sure what the leaf fall is like in the West Highlands . In Birmingham , plenty are already down .

What is the loading of the tour ? 7 + support or more ?

Well, if 46115 doesn't pass, what are the options?

44932 or the 8F. Can't see any previous engagements but may have missed something.

Those times match the ones in the letter from RTC. Just to add Carnforth is arrival 10.53, departure 11.29

A black 5 would not cope with the load and an 8F would not cope with the schedule!
