Theres still time to apply for Invitations to our late Summer Enthusiast Day.

We will have 12 locos in steam including our "new" Jung (Photo below)

In addition there will be 10 road locos steaming around the field so a chance to see 22 locomotives in steam at the same time!

    Email me if youre interested

Another wonderful restoration from Statfold. I'm looking forward to chasing it around the field with my video camera on the 17th.

Any diesels likely to be working on Saturday, Henry? Oh yes, and can you book the sunshine please as I will be coming in on my cycle :)

Just arrived back from my first visit to Statfold. Very enjoyable, amazing selection of locos in excellent condition. The loco yard before locos started running trains was superb, 11 locos in steam ready for action.

Shame George Sholto wasn't able to join in the fun, confined to light engine moves.

Kept dry there, but got utterly soaked during a quick ride at Echills Wood Railway on the way home :(

It was indeed a great day, the rain held off enough to let me cycle to and from tamworth without getting wet, I had a few trips on the ex MOD HE round the garden and I met 48DL again. Pity he has gone to the darkside though... Just wish I had seen Sid go round the Field Railway.

Apologies Zoot, on reading your post I immediately went to my shed and finished modelbashing another 16mm Ruston loco as penance

Looks like a great event, if only it could inspire another farm owner with a collection of 2ft gauge loco's...
