If anyone is making a late decision to go to the SVR Autumn Steam Gala and wants accomodation, I have 2 nights booked, Friday and Saturday, at the Redditch Premier Inn which I may no longer be able to use. It’s just 13 miles from Kidderminster. The room was booked at £29/night and is available for this price. If interested, please PM me.

Can anyone tell me how to buy a copy of the working timetable, please? I've just been onto the Special Events section of SVR.co.uk but no luck there. TIA.

Later: further surfing as has found this: Copies of the Working Timetable for the Gala are now available for purchase on-line or by telephone on 01299 403816. I can't find a URL to buy them on-line, and there's no reply on the phone at 16:20 on a Saturday afternoon. Will try again Monday morning.

 

I hope so, would like to have scrambled egg on toast from there.

828 Sure does look good the main reason i am going not going to get the chance to travel behind it again soon nunney castle is no great loss i think they may have been better just saving the cost of transport and not bring in the extra loco.

 

last time I checked it was £2.50

 

828 is looking fantastic - just a bit of wet and dry to take the rust off the smokebox fittings and she'll be looking tremendous.

 

There is a path in for 6024 to arrive at Kidderminster today. Not yet left Bristol though.

 

Anyone able to confirm whether Kidderminster museum is open through the night again? Their cups of tea was much appreciated in the early hours last year!

KE II on its way - running 2 hours later than scheduled!

It arrived about 1.55pm at KR, just before a departure on the valley.

 

They are, I asked them today. open 10am on friday, close 8pm on sunday.

 

Will 828 be running on Friday? I will be attending that day if she is.
