After it's summer 'wash & brush' up period in it's south London dept, the welcome return of 35028 CLAN LINE is on the cards for December 3rd.VSOE Xmas Luncheon special.Good to see you back dear friend...
In the meantime the societies website has been brought up to date with recent pictures.

Now if you have taken out that bank loan to pay for the forthcoming festivities here's your chance to treat yourself...remember,no jeans, please.

Judging by the pictures in the members' only section, it looks as though the engine is getting a repaint as well as new tubes. Given her turn out on her last trip, you'd hardly have thought that she needed it. But that perhaps tells you a lot about the quality standard that the MNLPS works to.

I was shocked at those pictures too, they really do look after her.

Don't forget everybody is not a member, so don't please wind us up. Nothing at all on the "mere mortal" (public) section. Can't see why the overhaul pictures are not made public. Not exactly a secret.

Actually Im a member and even I cannot crack the code of seeing the pages you speak of-tried everything and now not bothered..Rightly so,bring them onto the 'public' pages for everyone to enjoy.A proud engine and history not have pages for the privileged few.

I believe in an open society.I pay my yearly subscription for the upkeep of this fine splendid engine.I don't subscibe to simple things like photographs being held back away from non-members.I know the shed is a mile or so from the HQ of MI5-6,but I ask you...
Anyhow, thanks guys for explaining what Im missing-frankly Im not bothered, but I am bothered that it's in ship-shape order and running well after it's service down at Battersea.Magnificient job those guys do..Anyway,that's why Im paying up front.

Sorry about that - wind up not intended. However when you've seen one tender stripped down for painting, you've seen them all. Anyway, what's wrong with 'member advantages'? It's hardly a novel idea. One thing's for certain - it won't end up blue!

We get an excellent magazine several times a year which no doubt will cover what you speak of in anycase.

The password has recently changed, drop an email to the membership secretary and they will point you in the right direction.

I've got the CORRECT password-I know about the changes...still doesn't work.
As I said,Im really not bothered-my membership is directed towards the upkeep of 35028..not what lays beyond pages on the society websites.
The main page is perfect for me...which everyone can read.Im not that enthusiastic.
    God bless,Clan-Line.

Clan Line is without a wonderful amassador for steam. Each time I see her and indeed ride behind her I feel so very privilidged. Well done to alll those lads and lasses who keep this wonderful old engine on the mainline doing what she was built to do.
