    Having attended this year's bash at Keef's I must say I'm impressed with the projects they are working on, WHR No. 590 (Baldwin 4-6-0T), 'Caledonia', Lyn, the new Corris Falcon 0-4-2ST.... fantastic stuff. All that and three in steam!

    yes was a surprisingly good event and what looked to be a very good turn out.

    Agreed. If you have not been before it is worth putting in your diary for next year. There are also at least two other locations within a few miles worth tying in for a visit - Perrygrove Railway and Clearwell Caves - the latter does not operate a railway but has an interesting collection of locos.

    Check the Perrygrove calendar on their website for vintage train running days, when the Heywood stock is in operation. It's well worth while and only happens occasionally and it's well suited for young families.
