    Where is this engine at the moment there was rumours it was going to the South Devon Railway for attention to its wheels

    No. I didn't say it was, did I? However, there is something called etiquette even in the indifferent and cold world of the internet and a "scattergun" approach to asking questions without the normal human interaction of acknowledgement is what I believe Kieranhardy was referring to. Given your regular excellent and thoughtful contributions to this site MM I thought you of all people would have grasped that. However, I agree that there is no such thing as a stupid question!

    currently resident at Corfe Castle no.2 siding staying out of the sea air of Swanage. The Swanage Youth Group are taking care of it while negotiations continue on its future

    Possibly a confusion with one of the other Swanage tank engines... I;m sure there was one where there were negotiations as to its future on going.

    There WERE negotiatons but these have now been resolved.
