Some of the preserved lines around the country also have locos on the books that are available for sale.

Well if you buy enough SLL shares I suppose that's pretty close to buying a loco. There are still plenty available!

A lot of the time it's word of mouth. If one railway has a loco for sale then word tends to get around to any other railways that might be interested.

No. There was some discussion of their possibly selling one of the Standard 4 tanks but that seems to have been discounted now.

3803 has been for sale for some time - but is 3802 up for sale as well?

It is Bryan - but not ex-BR! Any expressions of interest to your near name-sake, the Trust Secretary Bryan Draper c/o Pickering Park Street!

Which if you read the link corrects the error to say 3803 is for sale not 3802.

What a streak of fate....as i was sitting here wondering how best to advertise a loco for slae!

The Middleton Railway Trust is pleased to offer for sale its Bagnall 0-4-0 2702 (not quite a GWR 2-8-0 I must admit!). The loco is in need of a major overhaul after running for several years in the early days of preservation in Leeds. Interested parties should contact me off list at JonL116@aol.com for further details and photographs.
A rare opportunity to aquire a real Stafford gem, Bagnall-Price valve gear and all.
Thanks for your attention ladies and gents!
