I dont know if im posting this in the correct place but i was wondering if anyone has any fotos of the railways that served the distilerys on speyside, scotland. Ive gone down the route of books and dvds avalible, so im just wondering if there are any unpublished fotos etc out there.

I assume your looking for photos of them in service. The only ones I know of on the web is this one: (Balmenach) http://www.railbrit.co.uk/imageenlarge/imagecomplete.php?id=29344 and http://www.railbrit.co.uk/location.php?loc=Dailuaine . Very few photos of them in service but not surprising since they'd only appear at Carron or Cromdale a couple of times a day at best and be well out of the way at their respective distilleries. I guess you already have The Railway Spirit by R.I.Smith which has a photo of Balmenach on a trip working and a number of amusing anecdotes about the working of the Speyside branch. There was also a pair of 0-4-0Ts which were owned by the GNSR which were built for banking out of Waterloo Quay but found themselves shunting at Keith, Elgin and Dailuaine before being sold the government during WW1.
