Just a guess but I would say the picture of 5764 is at Bridgnorth.

    With a 56xx behind it? ...

Incidentally 6106 and 6161 were not members of the 5101 class, they were 61xx (different boiler pressure)

Odd, they list them under 5101 but lower down refer to them as the 6100 class.

It could be the SVR in the very early days, ironic it has a "Flying Pig" behind it. The loco behind the pannier looks like a 84/94xx pannier, OR 0-6-0 tender engine 3205, which strengthens the SVR connection.

Picture of 1338 could be Swansea East Dock, the Fairburn tank behind it may have been off the Central Wales Line,Swansea Victoria shed had closed in 1959.

I reckon you are correct. 42182 was shedded at Swansea East Dock from Jan 1961 to Aug 1962.

I think this and some of the other photos are taken at Swindon Works, date circa 1963/64. The presence of the Ivatt 4 [The Flying Pig nickname irritates me. They were rarely called that across most of the country - it's just a name taken on by latterday groupies!] would not dismiss that proposition as Swindon overhauled increasing numbers of Midland locomotives as the Western steam stock reduced. See http://mickpope.zenfolio.com/p1025482/h104ff22e#h104ff22e for an example running in seen in Swindon station. The LT pannier intrigues me as I was under the impression that Swindon turned out the LT examples in plain black after refurbishing - I have a photo of an ex-works example taken about 1962 or 63 , one in the 77xx series, outside the works. The 84xx are standing in front of the works turntable the top of which is just visible. I am guessing the Kings are in the Works scrapyard as is the 43xx although I have a very similar one of a 43 taken at Wrexham Croes Newydd in about 1963, but then one buffer stop looks much like another!

I think they had a few spares from the ones at the colliery but the locos were cut by Cashmores (IIRC)
