    Hopefully it'll be better than the one run last year with 44932 which failed at Redhill and was terminated at Three Bridges.

    Tangmere left Haywards Heath on time and quite a few people got on board. The station staff seemed to enjoy it.

    It seems every recent trip 34067 has done has had a "thing" tagged on the back, most of the other recent steam tours, particularly the Brit hauled ones, haven't. I know 35028(17) has today also. Is it something about Bulleids?

    Correction to my last statement, I see 70013 has been "poisoned" today as well. Not sure of the reason for this, should be no shunting problems at York.

    The 'box' actually did some work (a proper good thrash) helping Tangmere speed up out of Dunbridge, which surprised me as it's highly unusual for a box to assist at that point.

    Expect Tangmere to be at least an hour early tonight at Three Bridges. The diesel was pushing so hard through
    Keynsham that I think the driver was trying to catch up with the preceeding HST ....and succeeding!! <BJ>

    Seems the punters had a raw deal today, hope they enjoyed their expensive diesel tour, that's why my main line steam tour days are over. Those responsible only have themselves to blame. Any reasons why IT done so much work today?

    Not wishing to prolong the argument, but how come quite a few steam tours have run without "assistance" recently. Quite a few including 70013 I saw Thursday plus some today. Don't think that excuse holds water.
