The LMS Turbomotive always fascinated me but I have just come across this loco in a book I have inherited, entitled "Railways in Lancashire" by David Joy. Anyone heard of this?

Well blow me down.......I Googled but could'nt come up with anything. That's the one, apparently it never was adopted by the railway companies and spent most of it's time around Bolton. Will have to read up on that, it looks fascinating.......many thanks for your effort....most appreciated.

That is some amazing piece of kit, way before it's time I would say and the available technology.

Interesting, it seems however no matter how many attempts were made turbines and locomotives have never really succseeded ? (by success I mean mass production).

No doubt someone will set up a new build project group. (He says cynically)
