Yes George there are more than plenty but it appears that not enough people are interested in them....(only joking!)....perhaps an LT Pannier is the answer!

No I think you're quite right there HF, not enough people pay attention to anything which has either never had BR on it or even worse doesn't have a tender! It's their loss in the end, but a shame that they don't understand the importance the industrial/private railways played in ensuring that the BR/mainline had goods to move!

...or freight to subsidise all the loss making passenger services. Now I wonder how long the GWR would have survived without the South Wales coalfield (change for LNER/LMS and appropriate industry)?

The only genuine BR Austerities are 68077 and 68078, neither of which are operational so any running at the moment are "fakes".

Oh yes and I could put 4101 on the side of Dubs again and they could both look naf together !.

Anyway Hawardens boiler is now ready to be lifted - and we are to take the frames of 1593 for a spin using the same crane. It s about time that we saw some wasp strips again, this time with the correct green. Or I could put 470xx on the side and run it with 68005 as a recreation of hopton incline, we could push the Noth London tank around and... . Cheese late at night, no good for you...

Dubs charter xmas week is booking well, Richard Newton can take one or two more if anyone wants to come along.

Happy new year to you all, without your support there can be no Gala's !.

Imagine if you will that its July, there is full bore sun on the bank, engines are clagging and the distinct rumble of the 16 tonners as they drift past. Yes it may rain and I cant be sure if the Mayan calender did reach July !.

So in the tradition of recent years, Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back to the show that never ends I give you the Foxfield Summer Gala.

Left in 1989, and after a few years doing borderline pop rubbish the band are back on (and way above!) their old form recently :)

Alternative answer: How about Salmon as a visitor then?

My thoughts on the summer gala: J72 69023, LYR pug 51218, NLR 76 (ex BR 58850), Wemyss Private Railway 17 and any Austerity in original condition. Well I can dream can't I?
