    Saturday 24th March: Dublin - M3 Parkway - Rosslare - Wexford
    Sunday 25th March: Wexford - Wicklow - Howth - Dublin

    A special excursion to mark the retirement and acknowledge the assistance over the years to the RPSI of driver Dan Renehan.

    A two-day, steam hauled railtour with DSER 2-6-0 No.461 and the RPSI Cravens set featuring the recently re-opened line to M3 Parkway, the scenic Dublin and South Eastern line along the full length of the Irish East Coast and a return to steam on the Howth branch. Full bar and snack car available on board the tour. An informal social evening in Wexford on the Saturday night including a slide presentation. Accomodation details on booking form

    If you have never experienced one of these tours I would suggest give it a try. These weekends are exceptional value for money and the experience is one you will never forget. If you are over 18 don't forget to take something to cure headaches!

    Perhaps a helicopter would be a better bet then you could land close to the action and be off again smartish.

    I can vouch for that. Rode an RPSI Santa plus the ecs from Belfast to Whitehead back in the 90s and my glass of Guinness was self replenishing and continued to be so in the pub afterwards and the secretary's house after that. Completely blotto but head as clear as a bell the next morning. :)

    I think I got the hangover three days after getting back home... Good job I was not driving.
    Yes Guinness does have that effect.
