A rather dull day, as forecasted, in the north-west. I took 3 today:

Nice ones, Neil. The Armathwaite Gate is the pick of the bunch. You had enough time to get the third shot, then.

Thanks - yes I drove pretty quickly down the A6, M6 and A685. Made it with about 10 minutes to spare!

Nice shot Mark, very dramatic looking. Shap was sunny last Saturday as well when I was up on the hillside at Greenholme as well as today.

I was on the train with my family so really appreciate all of the videos posted which show the amazing work of the crew. We could hear the noise from 70013 but to see it as well really makes the day. Cheers!

Who said they'd rest Ollie on Greyrigg ? - came storming past all the photographers at Beck Houses making a glorious racket. I'll post the pic as soon as Flickr get the issue preventing BT Yahoo customers from logging on sorted out.

Well done to all involved - shame about the poor lighting suffered by most.

Was a good trip yesterday. Unusually coach K was at the front whilst the rest of standard was at the back going North so any trips to the buffer required a walk through first class and dining. Cromwell put in a good performance over Shap and the S and C. A few photos here
