Couldn't see a thread for this. Pics taken at the Vine Road crossing west of Barnes station at around 12:56pm. Clan Line wasn't going at high speed as it had been the previous time I tried this location, so was able to get a couple of half decent shots as spring blossoms for steam. Understand the Golden Arrow was the cross-Channel boat train service via Dover which ran until the 1960s?

My photo of the last up steam hauled Golden Arrow heading down into Bromley South late evening on June 11th 1961.

34100, "Appledore". Taken with a Brownie 127 and several nights work last year with Photoshop to make it recognisable as a photo of a train! LOL!

I have a clip of the same train filmed about two years ago. Clan Line does a wobbly in exactly the same place.

I'm surprised that there was not a hint of steam from Clan Lines' chimney today at Worplesdon. <BJ>

Thanks for posting that brilliant photo Bryan. Two days over half a century apart. Well worth those several nights' work.
