    Could anyone tell me whether this is booked for the fast or slow line in the evening from Woking? The timings look slightly similar to those from the Dorset Coast Express last year from Woking onwards but as its a Sunday evening there may be less traffic about...

    I have been told fast from Surbiton to Farnborough then back on the slow at Fleet. My source is usually spot on but I can't guarantee anything.

    I presume that your source hasn't been to Fleet within the last 40+ years! The next available crossing is at Winchfield as Fleet was plainlined in 1966.

    Apparently outbound it's Fast Line from Queenstown Road - Woking Junction. Slow line from Woking Jn - Worting Jn.
    Return. Fast Line Worting Jn - Farnborough. Slow Line, Farnborough - Weybridge then back on the fast to Waterloo.

    All I got was a brief text saying FL Surbiton, FL Farnborough and SL Fleet. The Surbiton and Fleet bits are correct so wonder if Farnborough bit was a case of fat fingers.

    I'll be heading out for this tommorrow as 44932 is a great performer. Had a good run to Weymouth with her last year.
    Looks like the sticking drain cock problem she had once before is back though as in the videos on Youtube of the move down yesterday it is very much in evidence.
