I shall look out for you, (and the boss). I'm on the footplate Saturday, and shunting at Sheringham on the Sunday. (Possibly) See you there !!

Just a quick question with regards to 5619, i understand the original intention was to have her for two years. As it's now been over this is she staying longer or was this weekend her last gala performance at the line?

Whilst I can't comment on the desire to use it at future galas, I understand the loco will continue to be based in North Norfolk for the next few years.

Was interesting to see the WD out in public again, has it become a permanent fixture at Holt now, and where has it previously been hidden?

She won't be a fixture at Holt. I believe the plan is the loco will go back in store and the tender will replace Wissington in the shed and be overhauled as a volunteer project

As Will says the engine will go back into store and the Tender to Weybourne. It has been stored in the M&GN Society's carriage shed where a great deal of stock is kept to slow the rate of deterioration before overhaul/restoration.
The Thursday before the Gala was an invitation day for the members of the Society to relaunch the B12. The WD was brought out to remind people of it's existence and to prove it has not been forgotten!
