Nothing much there that I'll be getting. Good that they're starting to move away from express passenger types and onto the more secondary locomotives, but bad that there's still no Southern gold in that there chaff. Each to their own...

Im not that suprised there isn't a lot of Southern stuff what with it being not long ago we saw the T9, M7, various 3rd rail EMU's etc, i guess manufacturers are wary of neglecting one region over another.

To be fair, Bachmann have been going that way for a while. Hornby with the brand name are always going to appeal to the less 'in the know' modeller than Bachmann so it makes sense for Bachmann to avoid direct competition on the big 'uns - consequently, happily, they seem to be carving out an exciting niche for themselves in 'secondary' motive power.

Sadly it means at least 9 months 'til anyone announces a Stanier Mogul though :(

2008 is a pretty long time ago, which was when the last tranche of 'new' Southern subjects emerged in their catalogue.

What I can't understand is why Bachmann chose the J11. I though with the amount of times people asked for a J15 they chose that... A J15 might convinced me to started collecting Ex. LNER stuff.

In the last collectors club magazine, it appeared to be well down the list, i think either still in the drawings stage, or very early into the engineering sample stage.

Yep I've just ordered my model of 30064, shame we've got to wait until at least Sept 2013 but I''m sure it'll be worth it.

£104 for an 0-6-0, albeit an interesting, limited-edition one? I think its time I quit the hobby...

Although compared to an RRP for the SE Finecast kit of £83.95, not actually too bad. Its not as though there is a huge commonality of parts and tooling with anything else that could be brought into the range.

does anyone know when the bachmann D11 models will be out im after the BR early crest version. I wish bachmann (and hornby) would give proper release dates for their new models rather than 'its out when it out'. very helpful

still looks to be a good year for releases. new halls from bachmann, including 7903 'foremarke hall' woo defo on my list and also the 72xx from hornby. yep gonna be a good year. but not for my bank account lol

wish list? H16 of course and S160'S. if dapol are gonna do a usa tank then surely they can do an S160. pleeease?

According to Branchline OO Scale Steam Locomotives the D11 is down for Oct/Nov (Warley?) - generally they will publish release dates if known which is the key point - production can be delayed. How often do we see real locos miss their predicted steaming date due to delays, models must surely be the same.

I bet we would all complain if they got it wrong as it was rushed to make the original estimated date.

Just looked on the Bachmann page and the SR/BR black C class due dates have now changed to Dec/Jan with the SECR livery version changed to Jan/Feb. Such as shame as originally the black livery models were given a Aug/Sept date and we're now gonna have to wait even longer. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait but it's just starting to become more than slightly annoying along with still no release date for the Dukedog models.

The Dukedog model is currently in the tool room according to the latest Bachmann Collectors Club Magazine, this will put it approx 6 months behind the C Class by my guesses.

For international modellers the Roco Austrian Rh109 4-6-0...is out..

More famously recognised as the prolific green Hungarian 4-6-0 109.109 which I am sure will be modelled at some point.
109.109 has worked with GWR prarie 5521 in 3 countries.. whilst 109.109 has been from its home in Hungary to Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Slovenia etc..
There are 3 members of the class preserved, 1 in Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.

With the Coal Tank winning hearts at the Llangollen and SVR, do we think Bachmann will be announcing one next year (to go with the 828 I really hope they do...!)?
