Videoed 6024 sweeping majestically around the curves at Hurcott near Somerton.

Hopefully video will be up later....

I wonder if these non travelling moaners might like to put together a proposal to the gen car owner to get the vehicle repainted into something more kettle friendly?
I am sure the owners would welcome any offers of money to pay for such a project?

Ah, the diesel crank returns. Welcome back.

I have read through some of your past messages regarding steam 'balls ups, cockups' etc. and have quickly come to the conclusion that you join us on this forum to wind people up. Unfortunately for you we can see through it. Bad luck. <BJ>

    Well said F2G.

I saw the King a couple of times myself today and will get a video up on youtube soon.

The King was going well and looking great, may he return to the mainline soon.

I have reported this & other wind up posts from this person. I won't mention it here, but I know this person's previous history on this & other forums. I have had a response from a mod on this will let them pass comment if they so wish.

I was just to the west of the road to Hurcott on the B3153!! I had a look at the spot I identified on "Wheres the Path" but it wasnt right so I walked back to the pan shot.

Excellent running this evening from 6024 King Edward 1. Reports suggest 3 mins early away from Exeter SD (17:44) and then 9 early through Bridgwater (18:28). Perhaps there was a slight delay in the Weston SM area as 6024 passed Yatton at 18:59. Let's hope everyone aboard has had a very good day, it certainly sounds as if the King has ended it's main line stint in classic 6024 style. <BJ>

Mixed emotions this morning for me as well as the immaculate 'King Edward 1' passed Newbridge between Bristol and Bath. Newbridge is such a classic location for Great Western steam trains as they ran parallel to the nearby Midland main line, route of the Pines Express.
The next time that KE1 hauls a train along the GW main line, the chances are that it will be running under a modern catenary system of wires and ugly posts. Farewell King Edward 1 and farewell soon to my classic Great Western location. <BJ>

It was an idea. If you don't like it just say so. The argument seems to have moved on from the usual "box" dribble to sobbing about one of the coaches not fitting in with the feeble delusion its still 1950.
You can't see the coach from inside the train.....
