    Last week 44767 underwent ML testing on the NYMR so that she can work on the Whitby trains. Here are two excellent videos which I had sent into my subscription on YT and one other that I found;
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UzeZK-plds Spark arrestor trials
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2aIMtP--xk
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaLrZvgF1VU Slogging up to Goathland with a nasty slip slowing progress even more

    Turn up the volume for all three, 44767 was certainly being tested!

    Lovely shots there. I was very impressed by the volume of noise on the Moorlands & City opening in the autumn as well. Will this pass 'Stephenson' for general main line use or is this just for the Whitby operation?

    As I understand it she will join the pool of locos for the Whitby services.

    As the locomotive is running on the mainline from Norwich in June, I assume it's now going to have otmr etc, or does the rules that apply for the esk valley apply in this instance ?

    I have heard she will be fitted up completely for 2012, so watch out for 'Geordie' back on the mainline again folks!

    As far as I know, the frames and tender are still at the CVR and the boilers gone to the works for firebox repairs before being mainline certified, according to other forums, there still hoping to have it certified by the end of this year.
