Agreed, and it also means that if for any reason Llan needed to move some things around being able to "roll" means its easy to move. You have to remember that were not building it in the way that is 100% as it would originally have been done. But were doing it in the way that raises funds, which i believe is more important.

Whilst nothing is 100% proof, the shed at Llan is secure, has various security devices installed and a humungeous gate across the entrance ...

Slowly at the moment. There was a couple of issues with 3 wheels. This Will shortly be sorted out and then they Will be done and transported to llangollen. Hopefully by the end of summer.

On another note. Were all down at llangollen for the next 6 days. So come and have a chat at platform 2 at llangollen.

In fact from tomorrow we should be having some motion parts turning up. So more to see.

Great to see more progress on this project. Looking forward to meeting 45551 and the team again at Llangollen this weekend and the other new builds there. Then of course there are the locomotives running in the Gala which should be great!

I decided to search for the Unknown Warrior website on google today to have a gander at what's going on and generally flick through a website that I hadn't visited in a while. I'd like to emphasise that what I am about to say must be taken as constructive criticism, not mindless moaning. I also appreciate that, generally, enthusiasts will be the main visitors to the site - but that doesn't mean 'ordinary' visitors perhaps attracted by the loco's name and memorial status won't turn up clutching a few pennies.

The first point is that I searched 'unknown warrior' in google, and the project didn't appear on the first page. Once I tried 'patriot project' I was of course fine. Is there any way in which Google can 'bump up' your website when 'unknown warrior' is searched for? This would seem to be a canny marketing ploy considering that those 'not in the know' are as likely to search 'unknown warrior' as they are 'patriot project', and may be disheartened if they can't find what they're looking for on the first page.

The second point is the Historical Overview page, to which you are taken from the Home page when you 'click to enter site'. Fascinating to the likes of you and me, but perhaps a little 'in-depth' for the average visitor? Why not have an 'about us' page, that briefly documents the history of the class - a paragraph or so, and then notes the lack of one preserved, the idea and project to build a new one, and most importantly the decision to continue the memorial tradition of the class, the choice of name, and a little about the endorsement from the RBL.

    Just my idle thoughts.
