    You're welcome!

Somebody had to be brave/daft enough to stick their head over the parapet! :peep:

Its just that after all the uproar about her being pulled from the Fab4 gathering, the silence has become rather deafening, so instead of assuming that everything is going to plan I just thought I'd ask in the hope that we might get a response from those nice chaps at the NRM!

My contact at the NRM says something similar so it can't simply be Nat Pres speculation & rumour, can it?

Mr.Riley has posted on "The Works" that some specialist machining will start this weekend, other progress is being made and it's planned for it to be ready for the NRM railfest in June..

I have just noticed over on UK Steam Info that there is a test run Bury-York pencilled in for Thursday 31st May. It is marked as provisional though. If it does come to be I hope all goes well.

Thats been around a while hasn't it? Not sure if its still planned especially as they the NRM have said she will just be static at Railfest if she makes it (which I hope she does as I hope to go up to that).

It's been on there since Jan/Feb, well before the latest round of issues were discovered.

I see on Mainline Steam, the Flying Scotsman run to York has been cancelled - anyone got any further news?

Going to Railfest by lorry then?

I believe they dont want to use road travel anymore, possibly towed by the royal spoon?

You'll get views, opinions, and much speculation but I think the only people who can/will answer that are the NRM.

If the run was originally as under her own steam, i think it was announced a while back that she might not be a runner at Railfest.

but Heritage Painting facebook page posted in April/early May said they're in the process of painting [bits of] her [again].

Could 4472 be taken to Railfest from Bury to York by a Diesel? Whats been updated to UkSteam then. I just had a look but couldn't see anything changed and the NRM have said she's going to be static at Railfest.

Unless they are preparing a massive surprise.
