    You may not know that the return steam charter started from Llandudno JUNCTION. The locos were late setting off for turning at Valley and even later getting back, so that there was no time to get the empty stock, which had been stabled at the Junction, down the branch. The passengers were ferried back on an ATW class 175 unit.

    Although we knew that the stock had not come down, several photographers stayed in position at Deganwy, until finding out too late that the train would leave from the Junction - in fact. it had by then already left.
