And if the outward times are correct then it's absolutely ridiculous. 05:35 off Padd :O WTF.........

How is anyone supposed to get a train at that time??

Exeter is showing as a booked stop but there's no indication as to whether people can board there?

Only 12 on Roy and so I guess with 2 class 7 locos, 61 minutes is not exceptional and certainly does not match the historic sub-60 minute run of 6024 some years back.

Actually it doesn't really matter a jot. Steam on the mainline in 2012 is what really matters!

The local stopper from Weston S.M. to Bristol put paid to the 20 mins of early running.
The railtour had to follow the train from Worle to Bristol and arrived approx 5 mins late.
The locos were detached rather quickly and the tour continued diesel hauled 15 early. <BJ>

Sorry,I should have counted the carriages myself...!! As Nick says, it's wonderful to have mainline steam esp over the Devon banks.

61m now the new "standard" perhaps.....!! Excellent.

With luck the summer will see a fair number of steam spls west of Exeter.........

Why would 4936 want to tow those to Plymouth ?, think it more likely it'll be 5029 bolted on as it's a different Promoter & TOC.
