O & K Locos

Couple of things, Joe Nemeth's website no longer has his news of progress on restoring his 2ft gauge O & K loco - has he sold it, and does anyone know where it has gone to?

Secondly, the latest "Old Glory" reports the importation of for narrow gauge locos, two O & K steam and two diesel, from S. America. Does anyone have any idea where these are destined for? Or are they for a dealer initially?

 

Isn't it a Jung? If so it is at Statfold Barn. (I don't know if he has sold it or moved it there for work or what).

 

It is a Jung Ken and is now called Howard and is now part of the Statfold collection

 

As for the 2 imports, my sources tell me there a 3 steam and 2 diesel also a load of stationary engines came in the consignment, not sure what is happening to them though

 

I've been asking around and I understand that the locos are already here in the UK (somewhere in the black country) and will be offered for sale so I guess their location will come to light sooner or later. Locos are ex Peru, 600 or 610mm gauge:

The O&K are in a poor way one of them has been had major surgury to the boiler with a gas axe and the asking price is high

Only with the difference that the second diesel engine is said to be a Henschel not a Ruhrthaler.

O&Ks are always in a bad way. They seem to be disposable engines, not exactly built to last like say a nice Hunslet.

Are the 0-4-0 WT's the design that Barclay built as E Class?

 

Do you know what the asking price is?

 

Any more news regarding the imported locomotives from Peru?
