    I have added some new photos given to me by Alan Costello, including Gresleys rebuilt W1 60700, (sadly not a good photo, but the only pic i have of this loco)

    I know very little about the W1 post rebuild, by then had it basically become an A4 with an extra set of wheels ?.

    No it was pretty unique.......the boiler If I remember correctly was a one off and resulted in it's early withdrawal because the boiler could not be swapped resulting in a longer period out of traffic.
