There was talk at Bo'ness on Sunday that may require the saving of pennies until late October

Not just the railtour. Now do I do the Plandampf in Germany with a pair of 44s, a 41 and 03 1010, or go to Scotland for a couple of small, black LNER locos in stunning scenery?

Speaking of scenery, 44871 looked good this afternoon at Rannoch. From a mile up a hill you can't tell it's on Mk 2s!

Followed a few hours later by a black gas guzzler - top down all the way - A pint of Isle of Skye Cuillin Beastie 7% and a new Thai in Fort Bill that ticks all the boxes! and an LNER 3 cylinder compound arriving at 09.00 on Monday morning - excellent!

Is the Scottish Bash on again this year then? Missed last year's which Mr. Hunt said would be his last.

The posts are referring to a railtour scheduled on the 27th October, by SRPS. Diesel hauled from Polmont to Fort William, double-headed steam on the return. A must do, I think!

I know about the rail tour but 5944's post referred to "not just the rail tour" so suggests there may be something else afoot.

5944's post refers to 2 LNER loco's, while the Railtour is 1 LNER & 1 LMS. I presume the Scottish Bash with the K1 & K4.

That's what has raised my curiosity, except that after the 2011 Scottish Bash John Hunt said "that's yer lot." Maybe someone else is planning to or John has been persuaded to come out of retirement.

It was something I overheard the other week. Apparently it is being discussed, but nothing is confirmed yet. But it's well known a lot of people would be up for it, even after last year's last minute change of date, if the K1 and K4 were to do the bash.

I missed last year as couldn't arrange the time for both the Werratal Plandampf and the Scottish Bash. Have already pencilled in this year's Plandampf but if K1 and K4 bash was confirmed and advertised before Plandampf is finalised, Scotland would be very tempting.

My thoughts exactly Ian. The line up for Werratal looks good, but Lorie haven't said what's happening yet.

Just a question, when and where would we find out and be able to book for the Scottish Bash if it goes ahead? I have never been in a better position than now to attend one and would very like to this year if somebody can keep me in touch when it is announced.
