I've been so busy working on my Owl book, this will be my first steam of 2012! Going out to photo it soon.

Hope 34067 is OK for the train today.

Running about 8 late through Padock Wood.

I may be OK on a train with a stopwatch, but I'm useless at estimating speed from the lineside. But she was going rather well, and I'd guess nicely into the 70s. Box on the back not heard working.

Photos typify this years summer weather! Dull and dreary lighting.

So much easier to photo a steam train than an Owl! LOL!

Really good photos there, Bryan; and it looks like you missed the rain ! Plenty of speed posts in the first picture but it really makes me wonder what could be doing 40 over those little points and track bends in the background !!!!! lol Pete

Nice shine from the air-smoothed casing - the support team have been busy! Any updates, especially whether on-time from Cantab this afternoon, will be welcome. A friend is hoping to see her near Dover later. TIA

I'll be at Canterbury East and Ashford later on today, i will try and send an update on here as soon as it has arrives at Canterbury

I managed to see it enter Canterbury West earlier on today, although sadly my camera battery died as soon as she came into view. I also planned to film her passing Broad Oak road but due to the traffic as soon as i parked up she came into view, not hanging around either and making a lot of noise :D

Thanks for sharing. It's a pity that nowadays Tangmere seldom seems to be allowed out without a minder.

Al, the box was sadly needed for a shunt movement somewhere that would otherwise have been quite a difficult task.

Brian, you get a second bite of the Tangmere cherry with the Golden arrow Statesman tomorrow and the weather forcast threatens a sunny morning and early afternoon!

One from Tangmere's arrival into Victoria last night. Unusually it was routed into Platform 1 as 2 was occupied by the VSOE arriving about 30 sec after 34067. Shame to not get a shot of Tangmere with the Union flags that are hanging from the roof at London Victoria but I did manage a shot of them with one of the royal 67's on the VSOE. Quite appropriate I think!

    Many thanks for that.

Can't do the morning as I'm cooking lunch for my daughters and their men.

PM will now be a toss up between Tangmere and the Owls on Sheppey. Got a Barn Owl, Little Owl and a Short-Eared Owl within 50 minutes of each other on Thursday evening. And not a box in sight. LOL!
