I was rather lucky with the weather at Micheldever - shame Bittern went through uncharacteristically slow for no apparent reason that I could see or know of.

Fearful of making a fool of herself knowing what Bulleid pacifics have done on that stretch of line in days gone by.

Ps. Any one know what the new crossing at Upwey station is for?

 

Sunny this morning in NE Hants...., but dully by the time Bittern due at Worting as we try and find some colour:

 

On time or even a smidgeon early through Upwey and just as the sun came back out. Looked good

 

Bittern was on time top of Parkstone bank at 1258 earlier in midst of a heavy shower!! running slowly on yellows DH

Why do some workings, like this one, bring out the world and his wife to see them pass and others you can find yourself the only one out to see it?

 

Opposite earlier at Lorton Lane. First time I've ever been on my own there for a down steam special and nobody visible on Upwey Stn either despite a fair weather day today. Shame I couldn't stay out today for the up run

 

Bittern, running slightly down behind a late running stopper.

I tried a different angle this time compared to the last, to say it is tight is an understatement - made even tighter due to the explosion in growth of the trees....................... I wonder how long it will be before the damn things start striking cab windows and Network Rail actually get out there and prune the bleeding things back?
