    anhow back to the grind;

Hello all, quick update, nipped down Friday and belled out all the track circuit cables at the box end and through connected them to the fuse links in the signalbox location as well as connecting up some of the feed resistors, will nip down again midweek to fit the remaining feed resistors and by that time I can connect batteries up and at least get some of the track circuits actually working, which on this project will be the first items working from riverside cabin that become live then .,managed to avoid most of Fridays rain as it was nearly all underneath the box work bar the odd run outside to swap over the test wires and dis the track links.

There are still a few insulations out on the track circuits over the point work to complete but this should allow the straight tracks through the loop and platform lines at least to be livened up.

The next work day will be Friday,I plan to be doing the cutting of the notches in the mechanical detectors that day, regardless of the weather the rods can be taken inside to the vice under riverside and cut there by hacksaw or fine grinder, shame I ran out of time last weekend to complete that job but nonetheless it allows us to then put Monday 16th aside for the c beams under the box before moving onto that final job of cutting locking upstairs next month.

so the rest of the remainder of the month are at least planned out. :)

    stay dry all.

There is word of a third incoming charter due in October, although I'm afraid I have no other details.

There's a nice two car suburban dmu set arrived too,I believe from the Gloucestershire area, apart from that I braved the rain to cut and fit the mechanical point detector blades at Riverside. More work on Monday :)

    Hi Guys
I thought it best to post here rather than open a new thread in Rolling Stock.
I have a few stock queries at PR via a comprehensive trip report on 14/7/12.
Firstly loco 03037 appears to have gone. Did this go to the WSR? Has D2205 arrived from the WSR yet? Another loco not found was YE 2940 / 1965 Libby.
Anyone know the arrival date of the DMU from the G&WR.
Finally a couple of carriages not found. BR Sleeper 2080 & SR PMV 1235.
Any help as always much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Steve

BR Sleeper 2080 & SR PMV 1235. is at Darley Dale as far as known.

the other items im sure the chaps on here will have the answers for very quickly. :)

apart from the HST lads busy in their shed today Rob John and Myself fittefd the C beams to Riverside, some more cable ducting and finished the trap point detectors off, meaning were onto mechanical interlocking at the months end, some snagging jobs prior to then.

    stay dry all

03037 left some time ago, went to a private site in Somerset and is now at the Foxfield Railway.
YE2940 is in the shed undergoing restoration and is generally not visible to the public. It should be, all being well, finished for the end of the year.
The DMU arrived within the past week, I believe one vehicle arrived Thursday 12th and the other was the day before.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the help Guys
It appears they didn't do Darley Dale which explains their missing coaches. They also didn't record any of the wagon stock.
Andrew - any idea on a rough date 03037 left PR finally arriving at FR.
    Cheers

Sounds like the group I showed round the LMSCA shed on Saturday, they were from the Bristol area and cramming a lot into their day!

Re the Class 117 dmus, some of us older ones will remember the epic charter with similar dmus (6 cars) from Darley Dale to the SVR in 1993, I think we nearly took a wrong turning around Burton way!

Yes, that'll be them. They also did Crich Tramway and several other locations. As you say a lot in one day!
