Has anyone else noticed that some of the links on UK steam's Main Line Steam Tour programme don't seem to work on iPads ?

For example the timings for both today's Elizabethan and Saturday's Tamar Devonian return an error page "file not found" The same link works fine meanwhile on my PC.

Ive noticed in the past that these links to timings pages work in my iPad after a couple of days but in the case of the two mentioned above they still don't work. Wondering if this is something to do with "Flash" software as Apple products don't support "Flash" Most of Pathfindet's website isn't visible on my iPad for example.

I originally emailed UK Steam's Webmaster about this issue over a month ago but have had no reply to date !

You have obviously not noticed that David posts on here regularly as GWR4090, and has the link to his site in his signature.

Seems to work ok on my ipad including the two you mention. This is through my wi-fi connection via my router, my ipad is not a 3g version.

    Works fine on my iPad..

Was the link the published it the prepared link..?

Sometimes when times are imminent but not yet available a holding link is shown it displays as a blue underscore _
    Instead of [times]
See November 17th's Cumbrian Mountaineer as An example

ok thanks, that's interesting. Mine is the non 3G version too, and like you I use it on a Wi Fi connection via a router. Like I said, sometimes these links do work on mine but not always straight away. All the historical ones are fine for example.

I had noticed that actually Ralph. It's not the link to the site I've had trouble with. It's the links to timings within the site itself. Anyway, interesting other users aren't experiencing this issue so I'll have a look at the settings, see if there's anything in there that could be affecting it.

    Thanks again.

Cheers, like I say I'll check the settings on mine, see if that reveals anything. I'm guessing you're using your ipad with it's default settings however so wouldn't have thought it was that.

I'm on an original iPad and haven't had any problems with the 'times' links, unless the page hasn't been created, which gives the same result on any device.

What I do get, is the loco allocation numbers are often highlighted as links, which go nowhere. This is the iPad thinking it is a phone number. The device trying to be too clever basically.
