That is the exact reason I was looking for. Not Only is Braunton being held up but so are those 2 Navy Merchants, any others?

And, more to the point Ralph he is enquiring about Riley's business whose contractual arrangements with the respective owners is private and should only be information given by said owners, should they so wish.

Dear me, we have become a cynical lot !

No wonder really, 34046's comeback must be one of the most anticipated of recent years, and despite being rostered for a number of Railtours from as long ago as 2011, still hasn't turned a wheel in anger !

And while we're on the subject of false starts, has anyone heard any reports on the main line return of a certain Royal Collet 4-6-0 in a fetching shade of blue ?

I feel that Mike is innocently asking these questions as he is unaware of any implications there may or may not be.

Weren't you telling stories about 60007 on another thread and speculating on the financial position of the owners of the locomotive? Isn't that private?

Telling stories= latest update. financial position =available to all. I have quoted nothing that is not already in the public domain. If you cannot understand the difference between information a charitable trust must and does publish and private contractual matters between owners and a contractor then that is not my problem.

If you check the Companies house website you can access all the SNGLPT data, which they also publish in their magazine 'Chime'. Their 10 year business plan can also be accessed in a similar vein.

I can see nothing about 60007's recent issues on the NYMR website or the SNGLPT's. Perhaps you can provide a link?

In addition as both a charitable trust and having received HLF funding the SNGLPT has an absolute duty as part of the 'educational' aspect of these organisations duty to ensure that the general public are aware of the operational status of the locomotive as set out in both the HLF agreement and the Charity commissioners requirements.

Private owners do not have any such duty incumbent upon them

I hope this satisfies your cheap jibe!

Actually it's Oakfield who is spot on here. He's very capably exposed one of the problems in the rail preservation movement, i.e. a lot of passion, enthusiasm and knowledge about trains but not about much else.

Maybe Mr. Scott should invest some time doing some research into the facts of a case in future before voicing thoughts that may later come back to bite him on the **** !

It is on the members page, also in the last Chime. Has also been on locomotive allocations page on the NYMR website (Click on 'enthusiasts' in the first instance, then allocations in the drop down menu) also on latest information where it failed on shed with injector problems on Monday.

I trust this gives you enough information to allow you to access this information you 'cannot find.' Also, out of interest , if you goggle 60007-recent problems then you get plenty of information.

However this is not a thread for 60007, if you really wanted to persue this you should have sent a p.m.

Re: 34046 Braunton - Health check

I've just read last year's accounts. No mention of the business plan being in tatters. 'Chime' magazine is a private publication because to receive it you have to be a member of the organisation that owns the locomotive. I can't access any other accounts from Companies House website and you've still not provided a link regarding the publication of information regarding the locomotive's recent failures.

I said send a P.M. Why cannot you access companies house or any of the free sites that provide company information. The 10 year plan suggests that by this stage the trust should have over £200,000 towards the next overhaul which they patently have not.I have provided you with links if you choose not to or do not have the ability so to do ( perhaps because you are accessing this forum on your employers computer?) then I am not spoon feeding you. I have given you the facts, it is up to you to either accept them or not as you choose but stop cluttering up this thread with childish comments.

Thanks, I'm sure they'll prove interesting reading.

Regarding the childish comments - how about you stop having a go at Mike everytime he posts a question? Your constant harrassment of him is much more childish and vindictive than anything I've posted on this thread.

I take it you're referring to the subject of the heated debate below ? Weren't we going to try and focus on Braunton ?

Admittedly, it was me that mentioned 6023, but in a way it is relevant to the Braunton question in a wider sense.

Re: 34046 Braunton - Health check

Mr Hoskings (or his charitable) trust seem to be short of luck at the moment with restorations and work, both Braunton and Royal Scott seem to be suffering somewhat delayed completions, possibly by getting caught up in workloads at the contractors involved, whilst for entirely different reasons Nunney Castle is having a prolonged abscence.

In terms of Royal Scot I assume they are waiting for a slot at Crewe, which doesnt bode well for 7027 which was suggested to be being tackled after 70000 was finished!
