I have no problems with you expressing your opinions. I was simply making the point that WCRC are a TOC, not a preserved railway, and are therefore going to supply stock painted in their own livery.

If you think it's tasteless, you obviously don't remember the Pilkington stock.

If anyone is interested, my 'Midford' layout is in the July edition of Railway Modeller that has just come out. Get some inspiration for the gala from that! I can't wait!

Visiting engines invited to attend the S&D themed Autumn Stean Gala, and agreed (subject to contract) include:
    44422, 45379, 73129 and 92203

Home fleet engines are likely to be:
    88, 3850, 4160, 9351, 34046

The usual caveats "subject to availability" etc apply !

Looks like a good line up!

I have already booked my B&B for this event so I ask out of curiousity, is there any competition that weekend?

    Regards

Shame the Manor & Hall wont be used, although I suppose they don't quite fit in with the theme. Slightly against the theme but I would love to see an evening freight running to go with the early morning runs, just something a little different.

Halls are good, but how ill this fit in with the S&D theme? Also, will you be running Raveningham too?

  17. We are told 6960, 9351, 7828 will run at the Gala. Also 88 (in blue). Guests now include 4936, 92203, 45379, 73129. Also understand further guest loco being sought.

Seems the theme is being stretched a tad!

has 73129 actually been confirmed yet or is it still subject to final confirmation

    because 4936,45379 & 92203 been confirmed

what's the identity of the as of yet unknown visitor engine

    many thanks
    yrm

  19. Apparently 73129 is included in the list of booked locos according to the WSR Plc's staff newsletter.

Impossible to answer your last question :)
