My misunderstanding in that case but was told it had been scheduled for the day before the A4 test run. Not sure whether that makes it any more or less likely to appear on a rail tour whilst it is at Carnforth. Was due to go to NYMR reportedly.

The rostered loco for tomorrow's Fellsman (01-Aug) is indeed 61994.

Hope all goes well with this. If the engine performs anything like it did on the earlier trips over the S&C it could be a very good day out. I wonder if there might be a little more work for the K4 before it returns to Scotland?

I almost gave up hope with all the mentions of 5305 and 48151 powering the train. I'm glad that Railroad herald had it right. Those passengers are in for a treat.

61994 passed Gregson Lane roughly to time, great sight.

Blasted up Houghton Bank in fine style with full 12 coach rake, accelerated over the top and down to Pleasington, 09.00 so we estimated about 15 down. Pity about the toy-town whistle, sounds so comical when compared to an A4.

Sounds a darn sight better than anything else when it's in the Highlands tho!

Will be good to see how it copes on an "flat" line such as the S&C......... (in comparison to the WHL!)
