Released on poncy bail, how pathetic.
What will they get, a little tap on the wrist & "please don't do it again sonny", even if that.
They should have the living daylights beaten out of them & then locked for the foreseeable future & the parents prosecuted for not keeping them under control.
Not to mention making them pay full compensation.
THIS COUNTRY IS TOO EASY GOING!

Despite rantings like this, there are still some remnants of a justice system remaining in this country. Until found guilty, they remain innocent.

There must of been some cause to arrest them in the first place, there is no smoke without fire (no pun intended!)

Possibly but an arrest isn't the same as a conviction by a jury or a judge.

Of course, well said....the purpose of bailing them is to leave time for investigations, reports etc, or would you rather pay fro theim to be banged up for months and then perhaps pay them compo when found not guilty or when there is not enough evidence to proceed with charges? Lets have some sense, none of us is at all pleased to see a fine coach destroyed, but lets allow due process.

I just hope the underframe gets saved - I suspect there are some grounded bodies it would be suitable for.

Thee annoying thing in these cases is no sentence brings back an Inspection Saloon, you can't just buy another off BR anymore.

Should be docked a % of any future earnings from jobs to help pay for a rebuild/replacement/new build.

Does anybody have details on how much survived? The fact it was made in 1947, by the LMS made me wonder if there are any parts relevant to the LMS 10000 re-creation. It's a very long shot, but door handles, handrails, brake components etc. _might_ have some commonality.
