had a lovely run with tangmere this morning from yeovil pm to weymouth...superb loco for the seaside and what a lovely
    summer day
beach packed...boat trip round the bay, punch and judy, fish and chips, deckchair and an ice cream...
then have the climb out of weymouth up the bank later on a nice late summers evening...perfect

Tangmere was a few minutes early at Brewham bank this morning. It was allowed to run in the path of a
late running First Great Western HST. It was certainly going well with the normal load of 9 coaches. <BJ>

Another successful season of Weymouth Seaside Express trains has come to an end. The bookings were
good and the reliability of the locos excellent. Let's hope that the trains operate once again in 2013. <BJ>

Some lovely clips there. Better for not too much camera pan IMHO.

Look at that idiot with the tripod at Bruton 6 minutes in, near the end.

All good news but I do note from Uk Steam that the early autumn one's for this month are cancelled. Were they ever on for real?

As I'm just a local watcher at the destination end of the tour route and not a paying rider on them I can't really complain that the free show is cancelled but due to being away on holiday I missed the August post-games tours on Carnival day etc., so it is disappointing to see that those are now deleted from the provisionally announced tour list.

Hope there is a 2013 WSE season as I didn't get to ride one this year - did an RD instead due to the Olympics - and I rather fancy a ride up Evershott and Upwey banks behind steam.

They were in the brochure, but they decided to run the "The Royal Duchy" ( which were not in the brochure ) instead on those dates.
