    Hi all,

Over the last few days I've managed a couple of trips out to see 34028 'Eddystone' and 34053 'Sir Keith Park' in action at the Swanage Railway and Severn Valley Railway respectively.
As you may be aware 34053 is in it's first week of service since withdrawal in 1965 and looks and sounds very nice.
Some photos of my visits can be found here

    Lovely photos.

I like the similarity of these two shots:

    Severn Valley Railway - Monday 27th August 2012 - Paul Gildersleve's Photos | SmugMug

They clearly show the cabside numbers are positioned at differing heights. I fancy the position of the numbers on 34028 look better.

    Cheers Neil.
The numbers on 34053 also seem bolder.

So pleased to see 34053 up and running again and very fitting that one of the architects of our victory in the Battle of Britain once again is honoured by a working steam locomotive. As an 11 Group Squadron at the height of the battle it would nice to see 34081 meet up with 34053, the 11 Group AOC.

I agree to that Ian. Also a BoB gathering in 2015 would be most appropriate as well.

Most definitely. Just a matter of getting 34081 ready in time and then finding somewhere to host it. Wonder if Barrow Hill could be persuaded?
