Your your right, I really should of remembered that as I spent a good 4/5 hours in them overnight last year, lovely as they are, the Gresleys work better during the day for me, Mk1 seats being more comfortable for a couple of hours doss between photo ops.

Depending on what time you arrive in the evening you could do it with one evening ticket and one day rover for the next day.

    Right
The Friday day rover is valid from the start of the day until and including the 23.30 ex-BH and 22.50 ex-KR, Saturday's day rover is valid from the 23.30 ex-BH and 22.50 ex-KR on Friday to the same times on saturday. The Sunday rover is valid from 23.30.ex-BH and 22.50 ex-KR on saturday to the end of service on Sunday.
Some asked about the WTT, should be finished now and printing starting soon.

Public timetable is up on the website for downloading, having been corrected from the original. WTTs have started to be delivered in the post.
7799 is expected to arrive this week for a photocharter , and 7812 is also returning on Wednesday. 1501 is hopefully in use Wed to Fri if test go well on Monday and Tuesday.
Set C is the one being used during the night as well as the south end locals during the day.

Got my WTT Saturday. I hope everyone's eyesight is good. The printing's really small. I notice that the overnight's have been strengthened to 5 coaches rather than 4 as in recent years. Quite a bit of double heading on Sunday from Bewdley but with some strange combinations. Prairie tank + 34053 doen't really float my boat. 34053 + 31806 would have looked great but it's probably too heavy. Minor quibble really. It looks fantastic as usual. I shall be there until the proverbial large chanteuse bursts into song.

Don't get why they've changed the Sets from GWR2 / L / N / M(6) etc in the timetable to S1/2/3 etc and provided a key. Why change something that's worked well for god knows how many years? Appreciate the inclusion of set formations, but just don't get changing to a 'Key' system. Agree with the size of the printing, and yes they are minor quibbles but the last couple of years WTT haven't had such problems so why the change?

Simple answer: different people doing it. I think a few people have comment on the S1, S2, etc and hopefully it will not be repeated.
It's fine for a normal day when the formations are unlikely to change during the day, but during the gala, they do so it would be easier if they were just the sets, not the diagram.

Hopefully the "different people" will also not print it so small in future either. It's really poor for a document which costs £5.00. As it is I shall have to take my reading glasses with me, or find a photocopier which will blow the pages up to A3.

Apparently this was a c***-*p on the Printer's part - it was fine when it left the SVR.

Does anybody know which way the locos will be facing and if they are turning them during the gala like they did at the spring gala ?? WTT doesn't mention anything about locos turning at Kidder.
    Thanks Phil

Forgive further inquisition, but does anyone know if the loco yard/works at Bridgnorth will be open to the public?

Rostered back in service Weds 19th sept as per SVR website. SVR Engineering twitter feed has also reported that the (i don't know if it means one or all) defective spring has been replaced. Due for weighing at the start of the week.
