I have had an email from RTC : -

The Bath & Bristol tour on 22nd November will now include pick ups from Weymouth, Dorchester and Warehem

The Tynesider tour on 24th November and the Christmas White Rose tour on 1st December will now be hauled by two A4 Pacifics, as detailed below:

The Tynesider will be hauled by 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley from Newcastle to York and by 60009 Union of South Africa from York to London. The return journey of this tour will be diesel hauled to allow sufficient time in London.

The Christmas White Rose will be hauled by 60009 Union of South Africa on the outwards journey and 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley on the return journey.

There is a change of locomotive on the Worcester 20th Anniversary Christmas Fayre - it will now be hauled by 70000 Britannia.

The Sussex Belle on 12th December will now run to Eastbourne via Lewes , returning via Hastings, due to difficulties with the bridge at Ore.

So will the Sussex Belle take the Brighton Line turning off at Keymer Junction if so I'll be out to see this as well as the Bath and Bristol even if both are 34067 and would make up for the 2 non steam show ups earlier in the year.

When was the last steam hauled tour to Eastbourne? 70000 went to Hampden Park last year on an ECS movement. Also if thats the case it means it actually WILL be the Sussex Belle as I think most of the usual tours spend a short time in Sussex.

    34067: Victoria-Chatham-Ramsgate-Ashford, Folkestone East-Folkestone Harbour,
    Folkestone East-Ashford, Eastbourne-Haywards Heath-Victoria.

Very tempted by this run. I wonder if the identity of 70000 will be changed? They used to change 5029's when she hauled the Christmas trips to Worcester in the past. My Father won the 7005 numberplate on one of the runs.

Apologies for the post re 46201 being so brief! Nigel is leading 55 people to Argentina/Chile for some interesting steam trips and mentioned as he boarded his aircraft that the change might be interesting to NP members with 6201 not having much longer on the mainline.......I hope any member on this train has a good day esp with the Reading restrictions from next year!!

:) It will be great to see Lizzie on the Cotswold Line.

So, from 70000 being rostered for 2 tours on the same day (in both cases replacing unavailable locos), she now doesn't have any work that day. Hey-ho!

Booked on the Worcester trip when it was still 70000. Quite surprised at the change but not complaining none the less!
