She's got some admirers including a chap in a suit and looks brand new so it's possibly 1937.
She was allocated to Camden when new but moved to Polmadie in December 1939, but she would not have looked so
    pristine by then.

It has all the signs of being almost new so you would have to say 1937 as a best guess. Almost certainly in Scotland, carrying a lamp on the top lamp bracket for a stopping passenger, and take a look at the bottom centre bracket which has a Caledonian "dickie bow" route indicator with both fingers pointing upwards. I do not have the key to the route indicator settings here at work but someone else may have them to hand and be able to tell us what route is indicated.

    Regards
    Bob

    Hi Bob

Was sent this info which is now on the website:-

departing from Edinburgh Princes Street station, not at Polmadie shed. It is carrying a stopping train headlamp code, and the old CR route indication for Edinburgh - Glasgow, plus it is almost certainly heading a train of non-corridor stock. The turntable adjacent to the signal box is also highly suggestive of Princes Street, as are some of the buildings visible in the background. Super-power for a stopping train, but LMS Pacifics often used to do a round trip between the two cities filling in between WCML duties. 6221 was turned out from Crewe in June 1937 carrying the blue, lined silver livery, repainted red with gold lining in March 1941, plain black in August 1944 and de-streamlined in July 1946. Here it is obviously blue, and as it is unlikely to have been photographed after the outbreak of war (though just possible, I suppose), the date I would suggest is somewhere between June 1937 and September 1939.
