Wow ... they have 'Tasmania' as well as 'Galatea'. Now that would be a coup.

Don't be daft. Leander didn't come on the train until Carlisle.

No - there was a typo in the WTT. It was the Leader which came on at Carlisle.

[when this stealth loco finally does appear, noone is going to believe any of the posts on here ...]

Sounds more like Geographic Overload - been on too many railtours and spent too much time with L'il Bear methinks.

After my comment about the said loco being seen in steam (and I admit that I was given false information about this) it seems that even the so called 'mods' have lost control of themselves... This is one of the reasons that people dont come to this forum for information becuase it's full of this kind of trash.. At least my comment was something about a possible test run.. where as the rest of this is just crap is out of hand... about time to leave I think...

It's just a bit of banter - and maybe a oblique hint for folks to be sure of their facts before posting - lighten up eh, there's enough bad news on here these days.

I am confused, which doesnt take a lot. Are you saying that on the back of your comment you have been banned - if so that is laughable?

No he has not been banned, it would seem he is thinking of leaving of his own accord as he has mistakenly seen the lighthearted banter regarding ficticious sightings of Galatea, as an adverse comment on his posting of what turned out to be incorrect information regarding Galateas progress.

Who said anything about a ban?!? He just doesn't like the mods waffling on about stealth test runs of invisible locos.

No stupid or childish answers please
or i will get the Bottom lip out... (unless they are genuinely amusing)

Probably depends on which way round you're going .... IIRC a '5' took 12 northbound over the S&C this year, and southbound over Shap, but I guess northbound over Shap might be a bigger ask? I'd have to say I felt 12 was pushing it a bit anyway - what did the BR load book say for 5's and Jub's I wonder?
