That's a truly grand video. I enjoyed that.

Agreed Victor, a fine video, I wonder how many days PSOV were up there in order to get all those shots?

They've certainly done some legwork to get some of those shots.

If I'm not mistaken, most of those shots were taken by Ben and David Collier the same week that ACW71000 and Neil_Scott were up there. The YouTube clip is also a taster for the forthcoming PSOV DVD (2012 part 2).

PSOV. In my opinion, the masters of capturing the magic of steam. Stunning film work and superb music. <BJ>

Some impressive locations. Most of the footage seems to have been taken on two days when the weather was at its best. Watching the mist drift through the glens on those bright sunny mornings was quite special.

The 2013 season of The Jacobite begins on the 13th May . Any ideas what will start the season? With 44871, 45407 and 62005 down to be at the NYMR's steam gala on the 12th May, 61994 working The Cathedrals Explorer over the 10th - 15th May, what’s left?! 48151, 44932 or (if ready) 45231 must be possibilities?

Good question. Maybe 45212,5972 and 34067 could be added to the speculative list?

As far as I'm aware, it's said that for at least two seasons!

As has been pointed out 2 of them will supposedly be otherwise engaged and 45231 is an unknown as far as its repairs are concerned.

I'm sure Riley mentioned on his Facebook the other week that 45212 won't make this season. Don't quote me though...

I wonder if 44932 and 45305 may see a chance to return to Fort William then?

Answering my own question, posted elsewhere that 62005 is rostered for the opening week beginning 13th May. Her visit to the NYMR must be first weekend only?

Sorry if I did mean offence, it was a quick post made on my Iphone while dashing down to the local Morrisons! Will remember next time!

But more to the point of the thread, The Jacobite. What is the likeliness of either No. 44932 or 45305 making it up to Fort William? SRPS did have pencilled in railtour for the Saturday immediately before the commencement of the season for the steam locomotives to make it North, so would this attracted income be worth the possibility of either only being in Fort William for a few weeks?
