Very interesting working, this one. Timings show 15 min stop in Acton Yard, assume for water. But then another 12 min stop at Twyford. I wonder, is this a pathing issue to get through Reading or is it another splash for the tender. Although no stop on way back ! If it is for water, then I assume wrong line working into Twyford to access the water tender. Mmmmm ?? One thing for sure in this weather..plenty of exhaust !!

Watering at Acton, photo stop at Twyford ! This may be Tornado vice Britannia according to Steam Dreams.

Thanks for that. Didn't know they allowed for 'photo stops' nowadays, though it would make sense. Twyford usually manages a great turnout of spectators, so with a trainload aswel, could be interesting.

I notice that the time between Reading and Didcot is 37 mins, about 10-15 mins longer than normal. At first I thought this indicated a slow trip through Didcot station, waiting for a X-Country or similar to pass on the avoiding line, but the times on Steam Dreams' site shows Didcot East Junction 13:13 and North Junction 13:14. Would she be looped just west of Reading?

Wonder what Britannia is up to then if not doing this run - was in steam this morning at Barton Hill and being coaled - I suppose LE back to Southall is possible.

Looks like Tornado is booked to follow 6B33 Theale - Robeston empty tanks down the relief (6B33 is a few mins ahead at Reading). 1D33 Paddington - Oxford overtakes Tornado between Reading West Jn and Didcot East. Looking at the time gap at Didcot East (5 mins) I'd say Tornado will be sitting at signals on the relief at Moreton Cutting until 1D33 clears the section ahead.
