Lets all hope that this hall stays here, and runs into Broadway. As an add on I really really hope that 76077 does'nt take as long as 35006.Still waiting.

Having followed the 35006 restoration updates on the Glos-Warks website, I suggest that it has been "steady progress" at a pace dictated by financial income and manpower, in that order. I am sure that this restoration will have swallowed a huge amount of money, and you can only progress at a rate dictated by income. Remember that 34053's recent restoration cost just over £770,000 !
Once they start on *76077* I am sure the group will welcome additional volunteers and fund raisers/donors.

*76077* , not 35006 as originally posted. ...Brain into gear...

P&O will displayed in the carpark at the Gala in late may, looking to all intents from the exterior a complete loco (no nameplates to be fitted). How soon it steams is an open question. THe group have money in the bank with no loans outstanding. 76077 is one that many people are very keen on starting, whilst I understand has a stock of parts in store. Regarding 6984, as always there are things that havent been reported in the press and will remain so.

Reading the updates on the Glos-warks website, the boiler is complete, having passed successful hydraulic and out of frames steam tests towards the end of 2009. There is a further comment that the next visit by the boiler inspector will be "to start the ten-year ticket" as they say.

Presume you are refering to the MN rather than the Hall with that comment?

Yes, I was referring to the post by Andy B about P & O.

    Agreed, back on-topic.

I suspect however that --as with 42859--this is really a question for the owner of the Hall, in this instance to sort out with the Glos-Warks.
