Having a bit of fun in Photoshop, I've tried to make the 86 look a bit more like it's 60's appearance: AL6 No E3137 - 60's Style | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Nice footage (as always), but have to say I wasn't too keen to see all those tresspassers at Scout Green.

 

Thanks for the kind comments . I could not believe the chaps on the embankment as they must have realised I was filming them all .

 

Have to go and buy one of them orange jackets from B&Q, must give you access all areas!!!!!

 

Great shot at Scout Green, loads of cars on Southbound side, must have been quite a few about???

 

Good stuff as usual Steve but as Alan notes these tresspassers won't be happy until they bugger the hobby up for everyone else.

 

Brilliant shots as usual Stephen,can't believe those idiots stood on the wrong side of the wall,especially with all the open spaces available.

I have a feeling most of those of us around Kirkby Stephen got very lucky with the sun breaking through around 5 minutes before the A4 passed,never noticed before but from my location it could actually be seen virtually leaving Appleby!

A day I remember well for a biting cold wind and blocked spark arrestor at Shap Summit, resulting in black clag from an A4 - unprecedented

No.9 also did a northbound run over Shap on a CME on 28th July 2007 but the point stands that the sight of an A4 on Shap is pretty rare.

 

Photos from today at Salterwath northbound and then Keld and Stockber southbound. Great to see some familiar faces at the lineside today. That northerly wind was a bit touch and go!

The trespassers are just brainless,they aren't kids so should know better,they have no respect for discipline or anything else, they are a sad minority who plague our hobby.I just hope that they read this and realise how little everyone on here and everywhere else thinks of them.

Excellent video as always Stephen, and the others as well. The trouble with Rise Hill is that as soon as the loco comes out of the tunnel, it has to shut off steam for the slack through Dent station. Still, a nice spot and plenty of steam, even if drifting!
