It's a field in Cheshire, good luck finding it, but you do have to get past our early warning system...

I thought Yorkshire Airways (Aireways?!) only went "over the hills" if they had fighter escort. Maybe those emergency airlifts of food aid - Yorkshire Puddings, Wensleydale cheese and such - have finally pacified the natives.

I suspect Ralph's problem stems from his refuelling stop at Harry Ramsden's in Otley when he had an extra portion of mushy peas before attempting a take-off from nearby Leeds / Bradford airport; on t'other hand it could have have been the John Smith's he used to clear the internal passages afterwards !

And any of you thinking of having a pop at Yorkshire, just remember, Yorkshire Airways has it's number 1 machine sat in the shed at Finningley (in steam, done it's loaded test runs many times, it's ready to go).............It's called VULCAN. :peace: Be afraid.......be very afraid.

Oh, and we want King Richards remains back to be re buried at the finest cathedral in Europe......York Minster. Whoever dumped him in a car park should be afraid. :mmph:

We MUST get :focus: before we get a:ban:, because this has nothing to do with Galatea. Has it been out yet??? :rolleyes1:

No the spy satellite on its several passes shows that Galatea has not moved for several days.

Did your drone check the nameplates to make sure it wasn't a passing Comet, or a Phoenix rising from the ashes?? :spy::plane:

:tsk: Sometimes I despair at the way some are so backward thinking, it's solar powered...

I can do you a Comet (45735 at Annesley October '63) but not a Phoenix - never saw it :) Sorry about the quality, it's from a contact print.

You'll have to look a bit further for a steam Phoenix:
Phoenix | Donegal Railway Restoration Limited

Now Ralph, are you sure it wasn't this you saw? Did you have the right specs on? Maybe it was bringing those Northern Ireland dmus ...

Even though the scot was out yesterday, is a test of Galatea going to occur (1-2 months) from now? Yes, I know this has been asked many times.

Appears to be much wasted bandwidth in this topic latterly! Maybe we need a "Microlight Flying" topic elsewhere, and a period of quiet reflection before someone comes up with a sighting of 45699 out on a test run.

Asking "when" it is going to happen is at the least not understanding how WCRC Carnforth work, as they are perfectly entitled so to do.

I think that cat on Ralph's video should be sent in with a camera rounds its collar.
